This policy explains what information the Barcode Scanner & Generator app (the “App”) uses and how. We designed the App to work without an account and to collect as little as possible.

Camera and scanned content

The App uses the camera only to read and generate barcodes and QR codes. Camera images and the content of the codes you scan are processed on your device. Your scan and generation history is stored locally on your device and is not uploaded to our servers.

Information we collect

Usage events. Anonymous events such as completing onboarding, viewing the paywall, selecting a plan or completing a scan (a count of scans, never their content).
Device and app information. A randomly generated app identifier (not your advertising identifier and not linked to your name), app version, operating system version, language, and approximate country from your device settings.
Push notification token. If you allow notifications, a token issued by Apple that lets us send you notifications. You can turn notifications off at any time in iOS Settings.
Purchase information. If you subscribe, the purchase is handled by Apple. We receive subscription status and an anonymous purchase profile identifier to unlock premium features and understand subscription performance.

We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, precise location or photos. We do not track you across other companies’ apps and websites.

How we use information

to operate the App and deliver features, including remote configuration of app behavior;
to provide and verify premium subscriptions;
to understand how the App is used and improve it;
to send notifications you have allowed.

Service providers

We use trusted providers to run the App: our own servers for analytics and configuration, Adapty for subscription management, Apple for payments and push notifications, and an analytics provider (such as Amplitude) that may receive the anonymous usage events described above. These providers process data on our behalf and only for these purposes.

Retention

Anonymous usage data is kept as long as needed for analytics and product improvement. You can ask us to delete data associated with your app identifier by contacting us.

Your choices and rights

You can disable notifications in iOS Settings, manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID settings, and delete the App to remove locally stored data. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete your data; contact us to exercise them.

Children

The App is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

We may update this policy. The latest version is always available at this address, with the date above.
